關於root密碼的提示：Authentication token manipulation error

由於我是初次安裝FC6,並且在安裝了大約是幾十次后才好不容易安裝成功，但是到進入這個系統時出現：
localhost login:時，偶輸入：root
password:。。。。。
一直錯誤！於是，找文章，用單機模式想去修改root的密碼。在系統進行到：
sh-3.1#時，偶輸入：passwd root
系統提示：
Passwd: Authentication token minupulation error! (到底又是什麼鑒定記號處理錯誤呀？）

哪位高手請指點一下，拜託了！為了學FC6,我已經堅持嘗試不下１００遍！
