我的是教育網,所以用的是後面幾個
用迅雷下完全可以保證半小時之內完成
我下的是ubuntu-7.04-desktop-i386.iso（說明：ubuntu-7.04-desktop-i386.iso面帶liveCD 的圖形安裝界面,就算是不用安裝也能使用；ubuntu-7.04-server-i386.iso是伺服器版,默認沒有gui；ubuntu-7.04 -alternate-i386.iso是安裝版,字元安裝界面）
在下載的同時,可以做安裝前的準備.
到ftp://ftp.wangjia.com.cn下載硬碟安裝所需文件
user：como
password：123456
其中/software/boot/feisty/的initrd.gz和vmlinuz文件下載到自己c:bootfeisty目錄下
/software/的grldr和menu.lst放到c:根目錄下
/software/d/下的swap.fs和ubuntu.fs放到任意一個fat32分區的feisty目錄下（也就是和你下載的ubuntu-7.04-desktop-i386.iso放到一起）
然後把自己c:的boot.ini進行如下修改

做完上述準備然後重啟
就會在啟動windows前有Ubuntu LiveCD選項
選擇即進入LiveCD,進入桌面環境,桌面上有install圖標
雙擊進入,裡面有選擇語言、設置用戶什麼的,在此略過
我們這裡要說的是分區
最少得設置兩個分區
一個是做ubuntu根目錄一個做交換分區
其中ubuntu根目錄分區要2G以上,格式可以選擇ex3或者其他..但是如果你是雙系統的話還是建議ex3
windows下有可以讀取ex3分區的軟體
交換分區格式是swap,大小任意...最低是256..最好是你內存兩倍
然後進入安裝,過程持續20分鐘左右,反正比windows快（
安裝的時候還可以玩遊戲...嘿嘿）
特別說明,若安裝超過30分鐘仍無進展,可以查看是否有跳過按鈕,它可能在安裝中就下載更新
安裝完成
配置：
用安裝時設置的用戶名密碼進入系統
現在還不能用管理員登錄
如果你不想每次執行命令時在前面加sudo然後再輸入密碼的話,建議你每次用管理員登錄
設置方法是 系統－系統管理－登錄窗口－安全－允許本地系統管理員登錄
然後在 系統－系統管理－用戶和組裡面設置root的密碼
以後登錄的用戶名就是root了
配置pppoeconf
打開終端,如果是普通用戶輸入sudo pppoeconf
root用戶可直接輸入pppoeconf
設置的時候一路回車
只在輸入用戶名密碼的時候設置自己的寬頻用戶名密碼
用路由器的用戶可以不進行pppoeconf設置直接上網

中文環境
System－系統管理－語言支持,在對話框的下拉列表中勾選Chinese,默認語言選擇Chinese,這樣就能得到中文界面了
點擊「確定」或「應用」系統就開始自動下載語言支持的包,下次註銷后重新登錄,系統語言就變成中文了,輸入法也能用
到時,記得稍微調整一下Scim的設置,Feisty在Scim默認加入了n多輸入法,其中絕大多數都可以去掉
然後設置Scim配置文件,否則eva無法輸入中文
打開終端
gedit /etc/X11/xinit/xinput.d/zh_CN
把QT_IM_MODULE="scim"改為QT_IM_MODULE="xim"
調整桌面
安裝顯卡驅動
System－首選項－桌面效果,系統會自動提醒下載安裝驅動的（我的是N卡,A卡的朋友另行設置）
安裝好驅動后重啟
終端中輸入gconf-editor
到/apps/nautilus/desktop/分支下,去掉volumes_visible前面的複選框
勾上trash_icon_visible,home_icon_visible,computer_icon_visible
到/desktop/gnome/screen/default/0/下
把rate（刷新率）resolution（解析度）改為自己需要的
我的是85和1024x768
安裝其他多媒體軟體和相應解碼器

解決問題
1.Mplayer播放時提示錯誤
Preferences-Video 選擇 「xv X11/Xv」
Preferences-Codecs&demuxer 選擇 「FFmpeg/libavcodec audio decoders」
Mplayer中文字幕設置
Preferences－Font 裡面點擊 」Browse」 選擇一個中文字體,Encodeing 選擇 Unicode
Preferences－Subtitle&OSD 裡面的Encoding選擇：Simplified Chinese Charset(cp936)
Preferences－Font－Text scale 這裡調整字幕大小（我調整為 3.8 ）
2.Totem 播放rmvb沒有聲音
sudo gedit ~/.xine/catalog.cache
找到[/usr/lib/xine/plugins/1.1.4/xineplug_decode_real_audio.so]
把 decoder_priority 後面的數字修改為 10
這時可能仍然打不開rmvb格式,缺少解碼器
可以去網上下載w32codecs解碼器
也可以下載realplay10 for linux
教育網用戶可以在這個網站搜索到所需軟體http://search.ustc.edu.cn/
安裝Flash Player 9 for Linux

可以用lumaQQ,也可以用eva
反正我比較喜歡eva,安裝簡單速度也快
系統－系統管理－新立得軟體包管理器
在右邊窗口輸入eva雙擊標記然後安裝即可

其實7.04自帶的桌面效果已經很不錯了,不過功能還是太少
sudo apt-get install beryl emerald-themes beryl-manager
安裝好后,在終端下輸入或者在Alt F2的運行框里輸入
beryl-manager
就可以了,或者你可以加入會話的自動啟動程序里
安裝NTFS讀寫支持
sudo apt-get install ntfs-config
點擊應用程序－系統工具－NTFS寫入支持配置程序
選中對內部設備的讀寫支持,和外部設備的讀寫支持,系統會自動掃描你硬碟上的NTFS分區,並重新掛載
這樣ubuntu就可以進行ntfs分區的讀寫了
右鍵菜單加入打開終端
sudo apt-get install nautilus-open-terminal
唯一讓人遺憾的是ubuntu裡面沒有一個能讓人滿意的下載軟體
不管是http/ftp還是BT
